Ah, well- I haven't had to deal with a meteor yet! So there's that!
[He shrugs] It's mostly little things. Really I'm sure my luck's no worse than everyone else here. But sometimes it just feels good to complain about your cursed luck, right?
[Okay, it's a little bit of an exaggeration about his luck, but still! Everyone else in the fleet DID have shitty luck if they got kidnapped for a reality tv show- so he's not way off there!]
Bad luck things. [ She tilts her head, brows raised with an amused and not actually expectant expression. ] Mine, my pencils always break just when I'm getting on a roll. Or that time I nearly had a two hundred pound crate almost dropped on my head — not in the line of work, either.
[ Really, she isn't making shit up but she is shooting the shit instead. Making fun of herself to get over being nervous. It isn't totally working, but hey. ]
- Ouch! That would've hurt a lot! I'm glad you're alright!
[WHAT WERE YOU DOING GIRL]
And fine. Uh...Oh! One time, I ended up in some debt because of- well, a teacher of mine. And the only job around that paid enough to keep up with the payments was a host club. So I had to do that for some time.
It...wasn't the worst job I've had. A bit embarrassing since it was a small community so people who visited were people I knew, but sometimes it could be fun. The hardest part was people who thought we were...well...[He waves his hand vaguely. HOOKERS?]
[ Her head cants to the side as she listens and considers, most of her focus dutifully being on the driving the space shuttle hurtling at unheard of speeds through and all that. She can't help but laugh at the trailing and the flailing. ]
Well. You get that in every job at some point or another. Some people just shouldn't be allowed in public, you know?

[ And anyone who claims to be completely normal otherwise is lying. Obviously. ]
Little things build up easy. What've you got?
action;
You mean what little things do I have?

Wait, a host club? Like... [ She opens her mouth, tilts her head and then shakes it. ] Okay, I'm not sure what I'm imagining here.
action;
Why? What are you imagining?
action;
Like a dude maid café?
action;
Though we wore other costumes besides maid ones, it changed every time.
action;
[ That actually sounds kind of fun. But, like, only if the employees are actually into it... ]
Did you like it?
action;
[He consider]
