so many canons, so little time. [ exsilium permissions ]
Where Misha comes from, there are worlds based on every piece of published fiction that has existed in her own home world. These worlds are very real, and yet follow exactly to any information Misha could find on them due to how her connection works — it is because those worlds match the fiction she knows that she can access them in the first place. Please take the time to let me know about how you feel on Misha potentially knowing your character's canon, as long as it has existed before her current canon point (September/November 2012). OCs should answer this too!
Things you should know: Misha is learning not to interfere with the knowledge she has. She does not know all canons, nor will she have heard of every single one. This is more for myself to understand how Misha might react to meeting certain characters rather than give her opportunity to meddle and try to fix things up like in someone's fanfic. That rarely ever works out. Repeat: Misha will only use this knowledge to more intuitively interact with characters. She will NOT break their fourth wall, UNLESS you request it.
Votes must be unanimous between canonmates in order to be a YES; if there is a NO or a MAYBE, then I will respect that player's wishes above others to avoid metagaming. If anyone changes their mind or wishes to discuss it among themselves, feel free to use this post to hammer things out.

Any stipulations? All of the information in his app would be backstory, because his canon point is from before it officially starts. In the actual story, he's this mysterious masked guy that takes forever to stop just showing up to help out and officially join the good guys, and never ever takes off his mask or talks about himself. It would be one of those things where it's 2 books before he takes it off for a second, and 5 books before you finally get some backstory/find out what's up with him/have an actual mask-less scene. But then the good guys eventually rescue him from his terrible situation (being enslaved by the scientist that made him into an unwilling experimental cyborg), and he joins the team for real, hooray. (The "team" being a group of powered people that are held together by the one guy that REALLY REALLY WANTS THEM TO BE SUPERHEROES, HOW COULD WOULD THAT BE YOU GUYS???)

What medium is this canon? Let's say this one is a... spin-off novel. It's probably just called Ragnarök, and is a very large, overarching story of which Ashraf would just be a small part. Same thing as with Vanadi, most of the information in his app is just backstory that comes out through the main telling.

What medium is this canon? Japanese tv show - very short lived with only 8 episodes. Basically a guy has radical brain surgery that alters the way he views the world and in order to find out why, he becomes a neurologist and is later recruited by the ISP - a task force of scientists trying to figure out how to prevent crimes before they happen. Takegami was executed about a year before the show's start and during the second episode, a few people ended up dead with his MO. The canon is very trope heavy until the fifth episode when it gets serious.

It might be easier for her to just associate him with Norse mythology, though, because I can't say "yes" for the entire Marvel Universe. There are too many characters with secret identities who could be easily crippled by people knowing about them. COMICS.
So, to simplify: She is welcome to associate Loki with the Loki of actual Norse myth, but should probably be "canon blind" when it comes to things specific to Marvel.

The idea that any of the characters could be from another, slightly-different universe (depending on who the Warden is, what decisions they make, who Hawke is, etc.) would probably be uncomfortable for him too. In other words, while I'm okay with her knowing about his canon, I don't see that it would be too productive for Zevran to discuss it. Would you like Misha to have access to information about it? Sure, and here's his application. Some key points that aren't really brought up in the app:
* Greater Mortals' true existence is a collection of conscious thoughts that have the power to manipulate reality. Earth and all that is mortal is an experiment on the separateness of mind and body, if a life that ends is more precious, what effects do bad deeds have on your soul, etc. etc. blah blah philosophy blah blah. In truth the Greater Mortals are being observed by their benevolent creators, and are they, themselves, being tested on their nature. A test which many of them are failing due to their own self-involvement.
And some aliens are playing marbles with their galaxy.* The original plan with his story was for him to team up with Naumu to track down and stop the serial killer Michael became. So know he has the potential to do something like that in his heart, that some part of him accepted if he met anyone without a soul he would go against his vows to kill them before letting them hurt anyone in spite of his nonviolent nature. This is something he's already confronted in Exsilium.
* Mahdi is a particularly weak example of his kind. He's grown up with people who could literally make music into sights and sounds, or spontaneously materialize items they wanted. What makes him unique is his compassion and drive, and his powers can help others.
* He is entirely traumatized and disillusioned, and is in fact extremely troubled though he maintains an outwardly cheerful disposition. It might seem at odds with his attitude of blind faith and altruism, but in his own way he believes he is 'fighting' the only way he can.

Any stipulations? The graphic novel series would be a very ensemble focused story about the resistance in general, super politically charged, with Max as an integral but not central part of it. For a while she'd probably pop in and out on her duties, and over time bits and pieces of the backstory in her app would get dragged out, either through conversations by the main character with other members of the resistance or through conversations with Max herself. She was the narrator of one of the novels which gave the most insight into her history, even as it was made clear that she was a hideously unreliable narrator who was playing up both the resistance as far more powerful and on top of things than they actually are and herself as far more emotionally unaffected and stable than she is. Basically the biggest impression received on her from her canon would be that she's competent and unstable and a really weird mix of pathological liar and brutally honest. Also formerly a vigilante and an empath and knows superhero culture pretty well.

Any stipulations? At the canon point that she's taken from, everything in her app has come to light on the show. The basic rundown is that she's in a lot of respects your basic tragic hero with dead parents (natural causes) and a dead brother (unnatural avenged causes) who worked for the FBI fighting the monsters that killed her brother, except she recently resigned after the death of her team's leader. At the moment her character has left the show and nobody knows what she's up to since her resignation, but there's speculation that she's being brought back in the next season anyways. I don't think there's anything else in particular to know.

But there is a in-universe explanation for LOTR existing. In other words, it's heavily implied that our world is what comes after Middle Earth and Tolkien drew from the writings of Bilbo to write his stories. So Galadriel would probably think that she got her hands on some of the things that those pesky Baggins wrote/translated. Sorry for the tl;dr. ;;

Any stipulations? The canon, if it existed, wouldn't feature her as its main character--it'd be more of an ensemble cast thing. As such, Misha might know other people in her canon. Ask if you'd like info on them, especially if they come up. Furthermore, while her app's mostly correct, things've already started to drift a little from it with unexpected facets of her personality appearing in play and me realizing a few of the background details jammed out in a rush before the deadline actually work better another way. In particular? She wasn't stopped from being a bad girl until later and thus feels some guilt as a result. But mostly things should be the same.

Madoka wasn't the first 'dark' magical girl anime, but it was the first with such obvious adult themes — Mami's decapitation, Sayaka here going right off the deep end, etc — so it's cool if she knows that being a magical girl isn't always sunshine and the power of friendship.
